Certifications
Needed in order to be known in our field are the approval, value and success in our products and process through certifying entities that acknowledge our quality, cleanness and honesty in our operations. We have dedicated the time and effort to obtain the permits and corresponding certificates to access various international markets.
With pride, we have received the following attributes:
- Apply and certify the work process under the "Programa de Inocuidad de Alimentos" according to Buenas Practicas de Manejo o Manufactura (BPM) (Good Practices of Handling or Manufacture), with the support of SENASICA.
- Plant certified under the Primus Labs protocol in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Registered with the FDA (Food and Drug Administration)
- Licensed under the PACA (Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act)
- We permanently count with the supervision and advise from the committee of the Department of Sanitation (Fruits and Vegetables) from the State of Puebla.
Meaning of being Certified
Being certified goes hand-in-hand with the success of our company. Each certification has a need to be met:
Buenas Practicas de Manejo (BPM) consists in preventing and reducing the risk of biological, chemical and physical contamination of fresh products during the handling, packaging, storing and transporting. Confidence and assurance is given to the end consumer.
Looking for ways to better our work practices, we have been able to become certified under the Primus Labs protocol. Total Produce S.A. de C.V. became the First Company in the State of Puebla to obtain such certification.
Registered under FDA as an importer to the USA, it is a needed procedure to be able to sell our products in that country. At the same time we meet with the norms imposed in relation with the laws of Bioterrorism in order to trace our products up to the end user.
The PACA (Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act) permit is a license given under the USDA (US Drug Administration) and refers to the proper handling of our products.
The acquisition of this license authorises us to properly deal with US companies, giving our customers and providers confidence in good standing.
